NORA SCHMIDT: NOI

refugium NORA SCHMIDT- NOI

A collection of clothes racks inspired by the traditional Japanese Kimono stands. All pieces follow the same principle – a thick wooden base pierced by thinner legs. The shape of the racks depends on the order of the holes and the length of the legs. After graduating in 2005 product design at the Bauhaus Universität Weimar Nora Schmidt (°1980) worked as an assistant of the Copenhagen based textile designer Astrid Krogh, and as a freelance author, creating her video reportages – particularly for the international online portal Architonic. In 2010 she set up her own design studio. Nora Schmidt lives and works in Berlin. The Noi collection was realised in collaboration with Ines Königsmann.(mb) http://www.noraschmidtdesign.com/
