JUNE 6 – 8: REFUGIUM, THE SYMPOSIUM

This is Ronen Kadushin, designer. Today he was one of the speakers at Refugium, A Kind of Symposium, a series of conversations, conferences and debates, in which designers talk about their life and work, and their relationship to Berlin. The conversations are held at Refugium (Berlin as a Design Principle), an exhibition that shows some of the latest and most interesting on the Berlin design scene, and one of the main exhibitions of the DMY-International Design Festival and Berlin Design Week, at Berlin Tempelhof. Intimate, face-to-face, and informal, the daily gatherings run from 1 until 4 pm and have little in common with what is normally expected from a symposium.

Moderators are Marion Godau and Max Borka, curator of Refugium, and director of its initiator, Mapping the Design World. Both teach at the Design Department of FH-Potsdam.

This is today’s program: Hybrid Space Lab/ Prof. Elizabeth Sikiaridi & Prof. Frans Vogelaar, & Ronen Kadushin.

The following designers will be present at the third and last session, tomorrow,
Mark Braun, Franz Dietrich & Jakob Blazejczak/ Rejon, Joa Herrenknecht, Valerie Otte, Flip Sellin/ Coordination Berlin; Thomas Schmitz & Maria Volokhova

The talks are open to all visitors of the DMY International Design Festival. (mb)
