JUNE 6 – 8: REFUGIUM, THE SYMPOSIUM
This is David Hanauer, designer. On June 6 he will be one of the speakers to kick off Refugium, A Kind of Symposium, a series of conversations, conferences and debates, in which designers talk about their life and work, and their relationship to Berlin. The event will take place from Thursday June 6 through Saturday June 8, each day from 1 till 4 pm, in the midst of the Refugium (Berlin as a Design Principle), showing some of the latest and most interesting on the Berlin design scene, and one of the main exhibitions of the DMY-International Design Festival and Berlin Design Week, at Berlin Tempelhof. Intimate, face-to-face, and informal, the gatherings will have little to nothing in common with what is normally expected from a symposium.
Moderators will be Marion Godau and Max Borka, curator of Refugium, and director of its initiator, Mapping the Design World. Both teach at the Design Department of FH-Potsdam.
