SOON AT THE REFUGIUM :: RecyclingDesignpreis/RecyclingDesignAward JEANETTE JAKOB: MURX

Launched for the first time in 2007, by Udo Holtkamp and the Arbeitskreis Recycling e.V./ RecyclingBörse in Herford, Germany, the annual RecyclingDesignpreis/RecyclingDesignAward could already boast some 600 competing designers in 2012, from more than 35 countries, including Brazil, China, Martinique, and Nepal. Due to its high criteria the award is unique in ist kind. In 2010 the main award, endowed with €2500 , went to Swiss designer Jeanette Jakob and her Murx, a stool made from disused and reclaimed PVC pipes and the inner tubes of tractor tyres.
